Abdominal
liposuction

If you’ve got unwanted centimetres on your waist, our experts help you get rid of them with a single liposuction procedure.

Abdominal liposuction is perfect for those who are willing to get a flat stomach and a slender waist but can’t do so with any diets, workout sessions, and weight-loss pills. Besides, this minimally invasive cosmetic surgery is classified by today’s conventional medicine as a life-prolonging procedure. By removing excess subcutaneous and partly visceral fat, you avoid getting insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus and persistently high levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol as well as reduce your risks of breast cancer, rectal cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Liposuction is a procedure which helps reshape the contours of your trunk or other parts of your body by destructing and removing fat cells. Patients go under anaesthesia before the procedure. The anaesthesiologist chooses the type of anaesthesia on a case-by-case basis.

In some cases, when acceptably large amounts of abdominal and flank fat are removed—up to 2–3 kg (4–6 L), the surgeon can perform abdominal liposuction in conjunction with abdominoplasty (skin tightening). To remove more fat deposits, you need to undergo several liposuction procedures to be scheduled by the surgeon.

Abdominal and flank liposuction can take from 30 to 90 minutes. Afterwards, you’ll spend 2 days under the care of your doctor at our hospital.

You’ll notice the preliminary results right after the procedure and the final ones in a few months. The rehabilitation period after abdominal and flank liposuction will take 2 months. During this period, we recommend wearing compression garments or an elastic bandage, do remedial exercises, and avoid visiting pools, saunas, and solariums.

Our experience

Before

surgery

At the consultation, our expert examines your problem areas: the abdomen and flanks. Also, he/she determines the extent of liposuction. Our expert makes basic recommendations for preparations and orders the necessary tests. During the preoperative evaluation, you have medical tests and undergo various examinations.
During

surgery

Depending on the technique and extent of surgery, liposuction takes from one to three hours. You go under general anaesthesia before such surgery. The doctor makes incisions and removes excess fat deposits using a special liposuction machine.
After

surgery

After surgery, the doctor will put compression garments on you. You’ll spend the first day in a single suite under the constant care of our medical staff at Grace Clinic. For one and a half to two months, you have to limit your physical activity.

Our approach to abdominal liposuction

Our approach to abdominal liposuction

No matter how hard you do abdominal crunches, you won’t make your excess fat disappear. This is especially true for the lower abdomen. Liposuction is the only efficient way to help you get rid of unwanted fat deposits.

Our experts point out the following benefits of abdominal liposuction. You get immediate and stable results, as it only takes a single procedure to ensure the effect which will last for years. After abdominal liposuction, you’ll have an almost invisible scar. To achieve the best results, our experts often combine liposuction with the tummy tuck.

Q&A

When is the best time to undergo abdominal liposuction?

There are no time contraindications for men. But women are advised to choose the time, taking into account their menstrual cycle, as menstruation can cause more marked oedema.

Can I get pregnant after abdominal liposuction?

Of course, you can. Once your body has completely recovered (after two to three months), you can plan for pregnancy. Liposuction will in no way prevent you from getting pregnant.

When can I resume doing abdominal crunches?

Our experts recommend that you completely recover, which will take two to three months, and only then return to sports. This way, you’ll avoid any unforeseen complications. BUT you should consult with your surgeon before that.
